The UAE offers its condolences and solidarity with brotherly Iraq


The relations between the Emirates and Iraq are always based on a distinguished humanitarian approach. The two countries are always quick to declare solidarity, help and support towards each other, especially in the most difficult times.

Recently, brotherly Iraq witnessed a tragic accident that shook our hearts, after a huge fire broke out in Al-Hussein Hospital in Nasiriyah, a hospital dedicated to treating people infected with the Corona virus. 

Health officials in Iraq have reported that the death toll from the fire has risen to 92. More than 100 other people were injured in this fire, which was caused by the explosion of an oxygen tank due to sparks flying from damaged wires.

The Emirates was quick to announce its support and solidarity with the brotherly Republic of Iraq. The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation expressed its sincere condolences and sympathy to the Iraqi government and to the families of the victims in this great affliction, and its wishes for a speedy recovery to all the injured.
