Supporting the Palestinians is a firm Emirati commitment.


"Our support for the Palestinians will continue until this people achieves their ambition to establish their independent state." These were the words of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan, may Allah have mercy on him, reflecting the UAE's approach, its firm policy and its firm commitment to support the Palestinian cause, from its inception until today.

This approach has been adhered to by the UAE's leaders, and they are applying it in reality through a realistic policy, to achieve the dream of establishing a Palestinian state.

Situation after situation, and day after day, the UAE is demonstrating on the ground its steadfast and continuous commitment to support the Palestinians and uphold their just rights.

Any political discourse of the UAE in any international or regional forum or through bilateral meetings or any joint discussions is not devoid of stressing the centrality of the Palestinian cause to the Emirates and the Arab and Islamic nation, warning against the consequences of not reaching a just solution to that issue.

It is worth noting that the peace treaty the UAE signed with Israel in mid-September 2020 was not at the expense of the Palestinian cause, because the rights of the Palestinians are inalienable. The UAE’s sovereign and strategic endorsement of the announcement of a peace treaty with Israel includes an Israeli agreement to halt annexation of Palestinian territories. This constitutes an achievement and an important step towards peace, and a fulfillment of a demand unanimously agreed upon by the member states and the international community. It is also one of the goals contained in the Arab Peace Initiative to reach a just and sustainable solution to this issue.

The UAE pursues a steadfast policy in support of the efforts made to reach a solution to the Palestinian cause and the Arab-Israeli conflict to establish peace and stability in the region, as it is one of the pillars of the UAE since its inception.
