"UAE".. A New Path And An Integrated System For Residency

 


Within the "Projects Of The 50", the UAE announced a new and integrated path for residency that keeps pace with the country's trends for the next stage and enhances its position as a global capital for skills and expertise, and the best place to live and reside in the world.

The main objectives of the new residency system are summed up in five goals, namely:

1. Consolidating the country's position as the ideal destination for work, investment, entrepreneurship, education and life,

2. Attracting and retaining talents and competencies from inside and outside the country,

3. Providing a clear, coherent and easy-to-proceed accommodation system,

4. Raising the competitiveness and flexibility of the labor market, facilitating the transfer of highly qualified and skilled people in the labor market, and keeping pace with new work patterns, and 

5. Enhancing the resident's sense of stability and security and actively contributing to the development process

the Updates of the new residency system includes:

The Green Visa that separates the residence permit from the work permit, to be self-residency on the individual or employee and not on the company. This type of accommodation targets highly skilled people, investors, entrepreneurs, early students and graduates

The Freelancers Visa, which is the first of its kind at the federal level, for independent self-employed workers, in addition to other updates and additional privileges to the residency system in the country.
