The UAE Calls for Immediate Measures to Cease fire between Palestinians and Israelis


Her Excellency Dr. Reem Al-Hashimi, UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation, stressed support for all regional efforts to advance the peace process in the Middle East. 

In a speech during a meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Al-Hashimi emphasized support for international efforts against illegal practices that constitute an obstacle to the two-state solution, and said: "We call for an immediate end to violence and hostilities, and there is a need to start the peace process in accordance with the Arab initiative to establish stability."

She continued, saying: "We call for immediate measures to cease fire and support the stability of the situation between the Palestinians and the Israelis, and stress the need to preserve the historical and legal identity of Jerusalem.".
