A recent study issued by Harvard and Colorado Universities revealed that waking up earlier than usual reduces the risk of depression by twenty-three percent.

The study points to the importance of exposure to early morning light and exercise in the morning, as this facilitates adjusting the biological clock and getting plenty of sleep.

While nocturnal people find it difficult to adapt to the activity and commitment required by the day, they are more active and productive in the evening.
