The UAE and the Security Council.. An Arab voice pledges to represent the world


With the recommendation of the League of Arab States and the Asia-Pacific Group, the UAE has won the competition for membership in the Security Council for the period from 2022 to 2023 for the Arab seat.

This is a very important step for the Arab region, which is burdened with disputes and conflicts. Representing the Arab region with a voice unites its scattered voices may draw a road map towards solutions that push for comprehensive, just and lasting settlements to crises, according to analysts.

Accordingly, the UAE will become a resolute Arab voice in the UN Security Council, defending Arab issues and paving the way towards lasting political solutions.

The UAE will also be able to move forward in its mission towards spreading peace and a culture of coexistence and harmony among different societies, and it will work to promote inclusiveness and joint action, and encourage peaceful conflict resolution while supporting mediation efforts.
