The UAE achieves the largest geopolitical transformation in the Horn of Africa

Thanks to its flexible foreign policies based on supporting peace and combating extremism and terrorism, the UAE has been able to achieve the largest geopolitical transformation in the Horn of Africa. It played a pivotal role in achieving the historical reconciliation between the two neighbors, Eritrea and Ethiopia, and putting an end to the state of political rivalry and war that had prevailed between them for more than two decades.

The UAE has worked to restore official and popular relations between the two countries and used its diplomatic weight to achieve reconciliation between them to enhance security stability in the Horn of Africa, which for decades has witnessed the exacerbation of conflicts and security crises that made it a target for the tripartite axis of evil countries Turkey and Iran.

In addition, The UAE has managed to remove many complications during the negotiation process between Addis Ababa and Asmara, and this allayed fears that had stood as an obstacle for a long time in order to complete the process of historical reconciliation between the two neighbors. The UAE's pivotal role has also contributed to completing the agreement, which was signed last month, to move the region towards a new reality in which the aspirations of peace and stability among the African peoples are embodied.

The positive Emirati roles in the Horn of Africa and its unprecedented success in ending the Eritrean-Ethiopian disputes bring great benefits to the two peoples and the region. It will also contribute to calming the state of tension and anticipation that has prevailed for many years, to put an end to the escalation of tensions, which will lead to a security focus in besieging the activity of armed terrorist groups.
