Egypt and the UAE: A strategic relationship recorded by history
Bilateral relations between the UAE and Egypt are strong and solid, and are based on firm foundations that were laid by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, "May God have mercy on him."
These relations have extended for decades, and are supported by strong bonds that bring the two brotherly peoples together first, and then on the economic and political levels, as the two parties are the closest in the region.
It is worth noting that the Emirati - Egyptian-relations are developing over time, leading to the stage of full partnership and military coordination, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and His Excellency Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, who have fraternal relations and enjoy great political weight in the world, not only in the Arab region. They are among the wise leaders who have contributed to the advancement of their country and the preservation of its security, in light of the successive events that the region is witnessing and everyone suffers from.
Egypt and the UAE have a relationship of coordination, cohesion and congruence in their stances towards regional issues, whether in Yemen, Iraq, Syria and Libya in particular, and the common cause between the two countries is the fight against terrorism. Were it not for the efforts of the two countries, terrorism and its groups would have had another matter during the past period, but the efforts of the wise leadership in the two countries prevented its spread.
Hence, the leadership of the two countries is keen to consolidate bilateral relations, and this matter is actually reflected in coordination on all regional issues, in addition to cooperation in facing sabotage operations that seek to divide, separate, and civil wars. Accordingly, what the UAE and Egypt are doing will be recorded by history in letters of light for the leaders of the two countries.
