International Day of Human Fraternity, UAE's gift to the world


On Thursday "February 4", the world will celebrate the "International Day of Human Fraternity", for the first time in its history, in implementation of the resolution unanimously adopted by the United Nations  last December 2020, considering February 4 of every year as an International Day of Human Fraternity, based on the initiative presented by UAE in cooperation with our brothers in Bahrain, Egypt and Saudi Arabia.

This important international event is the product of an initiative sponsored and developed by our beloved country. UAE, based on the complete conviction that promoting the values ​​of human fraternity, tolerance and coexistence between nations and peoples is the key to achieving world peace and confronting extremism, violence and terrorism. This conviction took root since the era of the founding leader, the late Sheikh Zayed, may God have mercy on him, who devoted his life to spreading these lofty human values ​​in the Emirati society, until it became a general community culture. And he worked to spread it outside the borders of Emirates, based on a vision that views man as a human being regardless of his race, religion, sect, culture or color, until he became, may God have mercy on him, a symbol of tolerance and humanity inside and outside Emirates.


This approach has been further strengthened in recent years, as our wise leaders, may God protect them, have worked to consolidate it globally as an institutional culture, especially with the growing tendencies of extremism, terrorism, hatred and intolerance that invaded the world.
