UAE: The launch of the regional meeting on combating human trafficking through international airports


The UAE is hosting the regional meeting on combating human trafficking through international airports, under the auspices of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime and a number of partners, at the Fazaa pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai.

The fight against human trafficking is one of the issues of paramount importance, which is emphasized in the charters and decisions of the United Nations, and the charters and laws of countries around the world. In this regard, the UAE stresses the fight against this inhuman crime, in accordance with the provisions of the legislation. And it works hard with the international community to confront it firmly, in defense of lofty values ​​and human dignity.

This meeting will review, during its three days, investigations related to human trafficking, everything related to measures of assistance and protection for victims of this type of crime, and global experiences in this regard - hoping to emerge from this important workshop by illuminating the dimensions of this issue, and coming up with indicators that contribute to shedding light on it. and practical measures to combat it, and to build bridges of cooperation between the concerned parties.
