The UAE led the most important achievements in the history of Falconry

The UAE is one of the first members of the International Association for Falconry through membership of Emirates Falconers Club. In appreciation of its important and effective role in preserving human heritage and sustainable hunting, which led the most important achievements in the history of falconry by registering it in UNESCO and granting it the legality of practice, the founder of the Emirates Falconers Club, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, was named honorary president of the International Association for Falconry (IAF) in 2017.

Hence, the conference hold in Abu Dhabi these days on “The Future of Falconry Sports” is an important step to enhance the capabilities of the countries participating in the falconry registration file at UNESCO, and for all falconry communities around the world alike.

The common cultural heritage enhances understanding and peace among peoples and helps them achieve sustainable development, while at the same time ensuring the transfer of knowledge, skills and values from one generation to another, in line with the effective Emirati policy in spreading a culture of love, tolerance and the values of coexistence.
