The UAE is a leading model in Artificial Intelligence

Artificial intelligence policy, in the UAE, has become an indispensable governmental approach. The country's wise leadership has directed the adoption of a modern and innovative approach aimed at promoting the concept of smart government and completing government transactions using electronic applications.

The UAE was the first to adopt strategic plans aimed at advancing the sector, by establishing a Ministry of Artificial Intelligence, establishing the Mohammed Bin Zayed University for Artificial Intelligence, based in Abu Dhabi, in addition to drafting and enacting an integrated system of legislation and implementing regulations necessary to encourage innovation and entrepreneurship in the field of artificial intelligence. Accordingly, the UAE is today ranked first in this promising field in the region.

The UAE's leaders believe that artificial intelligence plays a pivotal and prominent role in pushing the economy forward and facilitating daily life at various levels, by rationalizing time and relieving members of society from incurring the hassle of moving to government departments to complete transactions that can be easily obtained remotely. All of this is supported by the availability of advanced technological infrastructure that contributes to raising GDP, rationalizing energy use, enhancing productivity, and providing a competitive and flexible investment environment.

Perhaps the UAE’s experience in using artificial intelligence to confront the outbreak of the Corona pandemic is a vivid example of the state’s excellence in its ability to overcome difficulties and adopt innovative solutions in managing crises, especially health ones.
