UAE-Morocco's relations are constructive

The distinguished and advanced relations between UAE and the brotherly Morocco in many fields did not arise from a vacuum, but rather from a common conviction of the importance of these relations, and the availability of the common will of the leaders of the two countries to develop them and push them continuously forward in all areas since the era of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and the late King Hassan II, may Allah have mercy on them. At the present time, these relations enjoy the generous patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of  UAE, and his brother His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the monarch of the brotherly Morocco -may Allah protect them- until they have already become a model to be emulated at the Arab level, and a distinct example of bilateral relations that possess the elements of development and tigers to achieve the aspirations of the peoples of the two brotherly countries.

Furthermore, the relations between UAE and Morocco are based on a strong foundation of economic interests that are always strengthened and pushed forward. In this context, statistics indicate that the UAE became the first investor in the Casablanca Stock Exchange in 2014 with 55 billion Moroccan dirhams. UAE also contributed $ 1.25 billion to the Gulf grant of $ 5 billion to support economic and social development in Morocco. In addition to the important role that Abu Dhabi Fund for Development has played since its establishment in 1974 in supporting the process of comprehensive and sustainable development by financing many infrastructure and basic projects in Morocco.

The visit of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, to Morocco these days  represents a crucial qualitative addition to the course of Emirati-Moroccan relations, which are based on a strong foundation of history and common interests. This was confirmed by His Highness during the reception of His Majesty Mohammed VI at the Royal Palace in Casablanca, saying, "Brotherly relations between the two countries are an example of constructive bilateral relations between brotherly countries."

The great interest of the Moroccan media in the visit of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and the warm hospitality with which His Highness was received, confirm not only the exceptional position of UAE and its leadership in Morocco, but also what this visit represents  to the path of strengthening and consolidating bilateral relations and upgrading them to the highest levels as well, especially that the number of memorandum of understanding and agreements signed between the two countries reached twenty-one a in various fields.
