UAE continues its humanitarian aid in Yemen



The UAE was based on a set of principles established by the founder, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God have mercy on him, the most important of which are support for the weak, relief of the needy, and support for a brother and friend.

This is how the UAE is, and this is how its leaders, as well as its generous people, do good because they are good people, and because they love to do good, without hypocrisy, pretension, or reaching other goals, using the provision of humanitarian aid.

The UAE’s aid reaches the needy person, because he is a human being, and this is sufficient, regardless of his nationality, religion, or state’s position, and the form of his political system. Neither my country nor its leaders are interested in this. Politics has other doors. As for humanitarian aid, it has only one door, which is the relief of people and the preservation of their lives and dignity.

As for Yemen, the UAE is one of the most supportive countries for the Yemeni people and their rights, and therefore it continues its humanitarian efforts in various Yemeni regions. And recently, the relief teams of the Emirates Red Crescent Authority distributed 42 tons of relief aid to the most needy families in remote areas of Shabwa governorate, to alleviate their suffering.

The principles of the UAE are fixed, and its humanitarian aid is never linked to changing political positions. It is neither its customs nor its principles to link this with that. It has never been proven that it used its external humanitarian aid to gain support or political support, and it will never happen. And history testifies that the UAE has provided huge aid to many countries, which did not have honorable stances towards the country in international forums, and its aid to these countries has not stopped, even with it being proven that it has taken stances against the UAE. This does not happen at all because the principles of the UAE make it deal with countries with their morals and values, not the ethics of those countries' systems!

The UAE plays an important global role in the global race of good. It is the initiator of every humanitarian call, and its aid crosses the humanitarian borders to deliver aid and aid convoys to all human beings, far from any ideological or sectarian considerations that prevent the delivery of good. It is the humanitarian approach that characterized the UAE, since its inception at the hands of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God have mercy on him.
