ENOC Group is building a smart terminal at Expo 2020 Dubai

ENOC Group intends to establish a unique fuel station at the Expo 2020 Dubai site, designed in the shape of a giant Ghaf tree, whose branches and metal leaves will form the station’s canopy, and its huge trunk will form the supporting pillars.

ENOC chose this design out of concern for the environment and sustainability, and also due to the national and historical value of the Ghaf tree in the UAE, which has taken this tree as a symbol of the Year of Tolerance (2019). In this regard, the ENOC Group intends to exploit the wind and sun resources to generate approximately 120 kilowatts of electricity per hour, which exceeds the energy needs of the plant.

As being the integrated energy partner of Expo 2020 Dubai, ENOC conceived an innovative concept embodying its integration of advanced technologies and digital transformation to create a paradigm shift in customer experiences.

The new service station will apply a wide range of advanced technologies such as vehicle guidance technology using ground lighting, sensors and signals in refueling areas to notify customers in the queue of the absence of one of the fuel pumps in the station, solar water recycling technology to convert it into irrigation water, and car charging stations. Electric, modern electronic fuel pumps with interactive multimedia screens, and cashless payment services.

The Ghaf Tree Station will also include a distinguished "Zoom" store, which includes modern technologies to improve customer experiences, such as the ability of consumers to order and purchase products before they reach the station, recommendations for products based on customers' purchasing habits, activate payment technologies using wearable devices, and a free wireless internet network.
