A new national policy in the UAE concerning the quality of digital life

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has approved the National Policy for quality of digital life. That National Policy aims to create a safe digital society in the UAE, and to promote a positive identity with meaningful digital interaction.

The UAE pays more attention to enhance the quality of digital life of the Emirati society, with quality policies, initiatives and projects that keep pace with the emerging changes in the local and global digital world. This is done by stimulating the digital community and enhancing the country's leadership, to reach more advanced ranks within the Digital Competitiveness Index, in which the country is at the top in the Arab world. It is worth noting that the UAE ranks 12th in the world in 3 main axes of the Digital Competitiveness Index: technology, future readiness and knowledge.

The UAE's National Policy aims to enhance the quality of digital life, within the framework of reaching the goal of achieving coexistence with virtual communities with Zayed's values, and this is done through four main axes:

Digital capabilities: Building the capacities of community members and enabling them to use the Internet consciously and safely.

Digital Behavior: Promoting positive digital values ​​and behaviors.

Digital content: Preparing guides to direct the community towards the use of positive content.

Digital communication: Protecting users from the risks arising from dealing with suspicious or piracy entities.
